These are ‘paintings’ in high fired ceramic and porcelain tiles, made to hang on a wall like a canvas painting. The bas – relief gives them dimensionality and the color comes from the various glazes. The tiles are mounted on wood panels within the framed boundaries and grouted in place. I make each tile by hand one at a time.
